The antichrist will present himself as the savior, the messiah. They will be ready for someone to bring peace to a war torn world, for someone to restore the economy, for someone to put food back on the table. After the decimation brought to the world-unleashed in the first 5 seals- through the power of satan and his evil cohorts, the world will be ready for a solution. As you see the ultimate goal of their plan is to create a situation in which the world will readily accept the antichrist as the world ruler.
